The Battle of Aegis was a decisive victory for the Spoonlogian military, although the Guardian was destroyed; the “Aegis Project” was a complete success. With a powerful, nigh impenetrable shield guarding Oonspayway and the technology being developed for easy future installations across the empire’s many colonies, the Forkradians were forced into a ceasefire. A tenuous peace has been forged between the two races and ever since that day Feb 29 has been celebrated as Aegis Day, a celebration of peace and new found prosperity.
